Duty of care
Hotbed Designs workshop staff have current Senior First Aid Certificates and Working With Children police checks and have all undergone Mandatory Reporting training.
Hotbed Designs work collaboratively with clients to fully equip an OH&S approved workshop space.
Hotbed Designs provide all equipment for the workshop only.
The client provides workshop furniture and shelter.
A parent or carer must supervise children during workshops at public events.
Children under 4 help parents to participate at public events.
All festival activities are guided and instructional teaching is employed.
Program outcomes are developed according to expected crowds and budget.
School and Public Programs
Hotbed Designs can accept duty of care for up to 15 active workshop participants in a classroom or ticketed program where parents are not present.
All school/public program students require a signed permission to participate form and a photo release form from a parent or carer.
School/public program workshops require a supervising teacher per 15 students.
School programs are curriculum linked and can work across the K – 12 syllabus.
Visual art activities are guided and instructional teaching is employed to ensure quality learning and successful outcomes.
